The Office of Registrar
The Office Registrar was established in 1990 and was officially made a University office on the first of April 1994. Initially, it registered just those new students who had enrolled in the 1990 academic year. In 1991, however, it started to register all students and this practice continues to this present day. The number of students enrolled has increased steadily, from 7,000 when the office was first established, to 20,000 students in 2000. Degrees awarded by the University are; a Doctorate degree, a Master's degree, a Post-graduate Diploma degree, a Bachelor degree, and a Certificate.




Instructional Resource Center
The Instructional Resource Center, was established in 1979, and is made up of two divisions, the Library and the educational Media Center. The aim of this Center is to provide educational facilities to server both staff and students. The library system includes the Central Library and 13 faculty libraries. The University libraries provide information resources and services in the support of teaching, research and service activities of the University and the citizens of the Northeast. At present, the library has implemented a fully integrated automation system and library users can access monographs, Thai journals and other media by means of the Online Public Access Catalog. A computer network links faculty libraries on campus as well as linking with other library systems within the country and overseas. Updated information from throughout the world can be accessed via the Internet. In addition, CD-ROM databases in the Central Library are accessible to users – both on and off campus – via the University computer network and modem/telephone links.

The Computer Center
The Computer Center was established in 1985 under the University's Computer Center Project. This aimed to set up facilities to support the advancement of teaching, learning and research, as well as the administration of KKU. Each year, there are more than 5,000 students (both undergraduates and graduates) using the services. Staff members are also free to use the facilities provided by the Center for teaching, training, sending e-mails, accessing the Internet and analyzing research data. In addition, the Computer Center provides a means of computer-related consultation and support for facilities and centers within the University, as well as similar services for outside organizations and private companies.


The Research and Development Institute
The Research and Development Institute was established in 1978 in the view to handle research activities in KKU. In 1981 it became the center of research and development of the northeast. Though the year 1982-1994 RDI has driven forwards more than 160 projects with financial support from USAID during 1982-1988, and from CIDA during 1984-1994. RDI is in charge of linking networking Pos, NGOs and Gos to organize the sustainable development in northeastern Thailand.

The Academic Service Center
Establish in 1989 the Academic Service Center aims to provide academic knowledge and technical skills and experience for people in the Northeast. Through its series of both long and short training programs, it seeks to develop productive and self-reliant citizenry whilst also enhancing the relationship between the University and the regional community. There are four divisions within the Center, namely: Office of the Secretary, Training and Studying Service, Distance Learning, and Academic and Information Science.

The Golden Jubilee Convention Hall
The Golden Jubilee Convention Hall was established by KKU in commemoration of the historic 50th Anniversary of his Majesty the King's Accession to the Throne. The Hall is located at the entrance of KKU on Maliwan Road, just 1.5km from downtown and 4 km from the airport. It is surrounded by every amenity from first-class hotels to major department stores. The Hall can accommodate 3,000 people with an additional 1,100 seats on the mezzanine level, moreover it is equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia technology such as audio-visual system, light and so forth. Ample parking space is available for 1,000 cars and up to 50 buses.

The Art and Culture Museum
The Art and Culture Museum was established in 1998, In response t the art and culture activities in the Northeast of Thailand. The Museum aims to be a center of art and culture exhibition and cultural activities, art, handicraft center and co-operation art and culture with other institutions. The Museum includes an amphitheater, two temporary exhibition rooms, and a permanent exhibition room. The Permanent exhibition room is organized to be an interactive museum. The interactive museum collects information of the northeastern culture, in order to be an educational museum and an information center for tourists.
